Environmental and Human Rights activist Bianca Jagger will give three talks during her visit to Alicante next week at the invitation of the CAM Savings Bank.

During her stay, Ms Jagger will also give extensive talks on climate change and how it may well affect the next generation, she will give a CAM-sponsored talk in Altea Wednesday 26. and in Elche Friday.

Next 11th of December, at 5:30 p.m. opening of the second International Christmas Market, which will be located in the Malecón del Soto (next to the waterwheel).

The Christmas Market will be open until Sunday the 14th, which will offer to the public attending products from different countries and regions as Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Scandinavia and Spain.

Julemarked..

Lørdag den 13. desember er det duket for tradisjonelt nisserally med julepyntede motorsykler i Torrevieja og omegn. Det er sjette år på rad at det spektakulære løpet går av stabelen. Det hele starter utenfor inngangsporten til Quesada klokken 11.00. Inntektene går til kreftsaken.

La Nucias første “Julerock” skal gå av stabelen den 20. desember på parkeringsplassen ved idrettsanlegget la Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano. Spanske musikkstørrelser, som Sekia, Traspiés og Barón Rojo, figurerer blant trekkplastrene. Billettene koster 12 euro ved forhåndskjøp, og 15 euro i inngangen.  
 

Juleinnsamling La Luna - Las Mimosas syd for Torrevieja.

Det er tredje året på rad at Irene ved La Luna står for juleinnsamling av penger, klær og presanger. Formålet er å hjelpe nonner i Elche til å bygge barnehjem for foreldreløse barn. 

Den 21. desember skal det holdes miniutstilling ved Inger-Ann Johnsen på Strandgalleriet i Guardamar. Et av hennes malerier vil bli loddet ut, og inntektene i sin helhet går til AECCs (asociacion espanola contra el cancer) avdeling i Torrevieja. Det hele henger sammen med nisserallyet den 13. desember, og nissekomiteen vil være til stede.
